Alley and I are beginning to explore outside of our comfortable Orange County bubble to find new things to eat and do. Often times, we find ourselves venturing out to the nearby county of Los Angeles after sitting in traffic for hours on end. But it's worth it in the end when we find yummy places to eat or interesting points of interest.
For this Downtown LA adventure, I had to go to the Museum of Tolerance (which was really impacting) for one of my classes so we decided to eat at a place where I had yelped a while back called "The Chicken Lady." Upon arrival, the shop was a bit more dainty than I had expected for getting so many reviews. But none the less, it's definitely somewhere that has some GOOOOOOD home cooking-esque cuisine.
This is the interior of the cafe.
As per recommendation, we ordered the Original and Thai Chicken Tenders. When the plates come out, they don't look like a lot...but they're really filling!
Hooray for free dessert Mondays! (French Cheese Pie with Vanilla-Strawberry Swirl Ice Cream)
xoxo, joyce
