EAT | ASHOKA THE GREAT

This post is so overdue but then again so was this dinner. We celebrated Christmas in January, a week after the new year. This was because we wanted to spent as much of the holidays as we could with our families. To start the year off we decided we needed to start trying new places in our cities that we'd never tried before.

Back when I lived in Stockton, my friends and I would frequent the Indian lunch buffets for butter chicken and unlimited naan. (I'm weak sauce when it comes to spicy because it always makes me cry!) I grew up near Indian town down Pioneer Blvd in  Artesia, but I've never been to any of their restaurants. We decided that we needed to because we all love Indian food! After some yelping we settled on Ashoka the Great.
Garlic Naan - forever and always
Chicken Tikka Masala - Traci's choice
Indian fried rice - Joyce's choice
Butter Chicken - my choice

I loved the white linen table clothes and the semi-formal atmosphere inside the restaurant. We agreed to come back one day for their $8.95 lunch buffet! Have you ever been to an Indian lunch buffet?

xoxo, allison
