A rare thing has been happening. Joyce and I have been hanging out with Traci...during the week. Ever since Traci became a full time working girl she's in bed by 9:30 pm and up by 5:30 am. Some days all we'd get was one or two text messages and on the rare occasion that we received a phone call on her lunch break or while she ran to catch her vanpool we never spoke more than 30 seconds. It was a running joke that whenever we spoke to Traci for more than 30 seconds we would call the other to brag about it. During the past month we've been getting together for dinner once a week - since the girl has to eat!
We usually try to stay local since we don't want Traci to have to drive so far after sitting through LA rush hour traffic. This night we decided to go to Class 302. Joyce and I have been here a couple times before for a good, cheap, hot food late at night when most other restaurants in the area are closed. We've all stopped in just to take-out boba drinks (I love their iced milk drink with red bean, honey boba, and custard), but Traci never ate there before. The place is decorated like a classroom, with a giant chalk board menu and backpacks hung on the walls. The tables are desks with cubbies and lab tables with stools.
Since it was a weekday, it wasn't too crowded. Joyce ordered her usual mushroom and chicken with rice noodle soup.
I ordered their fried pork chop noodle soup which comes with a plate stacked with sliced pork chop fried in a light batter and a huge bowl of noodle soup with cabbage and other toppings.
Traci ordered the fried pork chop bento box. The bento box is filled with steamed veggies, a soy sauce egg, pickled veggies, ground pork, and steamed rice. So. much. food.
Of course there is always room for shaved snow! This time we ordered the green tea shaved snow topped with red bean, giant mochi, and condensed milk with milk custard buried in the middle. Shaved snow is different from shaved ice because it is creamier which make the shavings more like ribbons. We took leftovers from dinner home but we killed that shaved snow. SO GOOD.We will definitely be back!
xoxo, allison
