DIY | HEDGEHOG DUSTERS

I've been making these for years since I saw this post, but never got around to make a tutorial because they are so quick to make that I forget to take pictures in between. I first made them using larger hand mitts and gave them to my aunts for mother's day as dusters for their homes. Then, I found some smaller hand mitts at the dollar store and made a bunch for my roommates and friends to use as dusters for inside their cars. Multi-functional cuties!

First, turn the hand mitt inside out and remove the thick elastic band by cutting apart the threads. Draw a triangle shape for the head and cut away some of the excess fabric around the head including the tip of the thumb. Then, sew the triangle leaving the thumb hole open.
Next, flip the mitt rights side out through the thumb hole. Cut eyes out of black felt, and glue them along with a pom pom nose using a hot glue gun. Then stuff him up!
Hand stitch the thumb hole closed and voila! A cute new friend for Traci.
P.S. Mine is the green one up top. His name is Avogadro.
xoxo, allison
