COOK | spaghetti spiders

I first stumbled upon this recipe when my two best friends and I went to the library to apply for one of their passports. While waiting, we looked at magazines and we found this fun and definitely kid-approved snack. At first I was kind of skeptical and weirded out by the whole idea but now that I look back on it, it seems actually kind of fun!

What you'll need:
1 pack of hot dogs
1 pack of uncooked spaghetti

Directions:
1) cut hot dogs into bite size pieces (approximately in quarters)
2) insert 1 piece of spaghetti at a time into the center of the hot dog. (approx. 4 pieces of spaghetti per hot dog piece)
3) bring a large pot of water to boil and carefully drop the raw "spiders" into boiling water
4) Cook until the pasta is tender **you may need to leave it in a little longer even when the pasta is cooked to make sure that the spaghetti inside the hot dog is fully cooked**
5) ENJOY!

If you're serving this for dinner, you can add marinara sauce like any ordinary pasta OR if it's just a snack, you can just dip it in some ketchup.
